It was a beautiful evening on the bay in Bay Shore with clear skies and flat water. Yes, the winds were light, and yes the race was long, however it was such a great evening to be on the water. There were 18 or 19 boats that participated. A great turnout for the next to the last scheduled race of the season.
Line honors went to "Full Circle" breaking the streak of "Merry Ann". The two boats battled it out neck and neck for the last 2 legs until "Full Circle" crossed the line 30 seconds ahead. "Pandemonium" and "Southern Accent" had their own neck and neck battle the last 2 legs of the course. "Pandemonium was able to edge ahead approaching buoy "11" and held off "Southern Accent" who was charging back at the finish.
